April Birthstone: The Eternal Diamond
[slideshow id=20 width=600 height=450]
(The above slideshow is a selection of our truly unique antique, vintage and estate diamond rings available at Cynthia Findlay Antiques at Toronto Antiques on King. Whether you are looking for an engagement ring or a diamond ring for its own sake (and who doesn’t want that?) – go to cynthiafindlay.com to view the rings.)
Lucky April babies are born into the month of the Diamond, the most popular and desired of all gems.
Most people are familiar with the dazzling appeal of diamonds, which are known worldwide as a symbol of love, eternity, and strength, and as such, have been decorating the hands of the newly engaged for centuries. In fact, the very first diamond engagement ring was given in 1477 by the Archduke Maximillian of Austria to his love.
Diamonds are extremely hard stones, in fact they are the hardest naturally occurring substance on earth, and with their clear appearance and durability, they make a perfect accent on any outfit and can be worn on a daily basis.
Diamonds never fail to please.
They have universal appeal, and there is a piece of diamond jewellery (or three or four or five) for everyone.
The Cynthia Findlay Collection of Antique and Estate Jewellery features an impressive and diverse selection of diamonds, both old and new. From early 19th century engagement rings to modern black diamonds, you will find your special piece, or a cherished gift for a loved one, right here at 284 King Street West in the heart of Toronto’s Entertainment District.
