At Toronto Antiques on King, we have the happy privilege to meet all kinds of wonderful people on a daily basis. And with all of the theatre action happening in the area, we see our fair share of famous faces.
But behind the scenes are lots of hardworking folks, who help make these shows spectacular. Two such gentlemen visited us today, all the way from the states, and had a little chat.
Turns out, Rufus Moore and Russ Lazarenko are truckers contracted by the fabulous hit show Priscilla Queen of the Desert the Musical to haul all of the gear for the entire stage production around on the show’s tour.
So, how did two truckers find their way to our jewellery counter? Well, Rufus’s wife has a birthday coming up and so Russ suggested they drop in to check out our selection. Rufus has great taste and chose a marvelous opal ring which we’re sure will make him very popular when he returns home to Washington.
We got a look at the rigs Russ and Rufus drive and they are pretty impressive. Here’s some photos to help you get to know at least two of the people who help make the big shows happen!
